About the Opportunity

Manages receiving, inspection and control of materials at various stages. Strategizes and recommends Inventory Control policies and programs.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Manages receiving, inspection and control of materials at various stages of alloy production.
  • Ensures all Inventory movement and transactions are in the QAD system.
  • Reviews all transactions to ensure they are recorded correctly.
  • Manages the Precious Manufacturing Inventory Control operations toward the accomplishment of objectives.
  • Recommends department operating policies.
  • Supervises maintenance of all equipment used in the department.
  • Sets up and maintains inventory controls and levels to conform to budgets and forecasts.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of Argen's Precious Manufacturing Inventory Control Department.
  • Produces reports to facilitate continuous improvement efforts and improve employee performance in alignment with objectives.
  • Develops a high-performance work team that exceeds objectives in quality and throughput.
  • Motivates and coaches employees by assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Delegates tasks and manages progress to ensure successful completion of department objectives.
  • Creates and reinforces a culture of teamwork and actively resolves conflicts within the team.
  • Manages proactively by holding regular 1on1s and team meetings to ensure open lines of communication and professional development for direct reports.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of people management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Problem solving capabilities.
  • Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP computer program is a plus.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
