Statement of the Job:

The University of Maine at Fort Kent is seeking to fill a full-time, academic year position, faculty rank and tenure track status commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent is looking for applicants with experience and demonstrated interest in teaching a variety of general course in business for this tenure track position with a primary focus on teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 12 credit hours per semester with primary responsibility for general business courses including marketing, economics, finance, and accounting. Applicants are also expected to develop curricula and courses, advise students, participate in division affairs, and engage in university service and scholarship. Applicants are expected to possess the ability to deliver courses in a variety of modalities, such as face-to-face and online. Commitment to quality undergraduate teaching required, experience with student learning outcomes assessment, distance learning and grant writing highly desirable.

The anticipated start date will be Fall 2021.

Salary range will be $53,000 to $55,000 based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. A Doctorate in Management, Business Administration or equivalent, ABD considered


Preference will be given for experience in business management, general administration, marketing economics, finance, or accounting and university teaching.
