Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool.

These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, and/or online.

When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

NOTE: In addition to submitting the online application form, please upload the following: cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts for all college coursework, copies of current unexpired certifications/licensures, and three letters of recommendation. Please detail experience using Blackboard (or similar learning management system) and teaching online.

Duties:

Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress. Maintains classroom order and discipline.

Qualifications:

Faculty teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: doctorate or master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
