St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. St. Charles Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Biology Faculty for Fall 2021. Responsibilities include teaching majors and non-majors biology courses (General Biology, Human Biology, Essentials of Biology, etc.), and contributing service to the Department and College at the department, division and college-wide level. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing student performance in coordination with other members of the Biology department to evaluate effectiveness of teaching and student learning.

Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree in Biology or a related discipline is required, Ph.D. preferred. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, will have experience in using molecular biology techniques, will promote/develop student research-based instructional activities, will demonstrate and embrace the use of technology in teaching, and will maintain the highest possible standards in classroom and laboratory instruction and assessment.
Minimum starting salaries:
Instructor: $53,244; Assistant Professor: $58,650; Associate Professor: $64,479
