This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology.  This position is for the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions


This position is responsible for collaborating with Dr. DiPersio on the design, conduct and reporting of research projects.  Open immediately.

Use your talents and motivation to discover novel targets on blood cancers and lymphomas that could be used to design immunotherapeutics such as CAR-T cells and bispecific antibodies.  Oversee studies in cell therapy, gene therapy, and gene editing to target hematological malignancies.  More info on Twitter: @DiPersioLab.


  • Collaborates with PI on the design, conduct and reporting of research projects.
  • Assists with grant preparation and reporting. May submit grant proposals in rare circumstances with the approval of the PI, Department Head and Dean.
  • Prepares and submits papers on research.
  • Develops hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing it.
  • Complies with established safety procedures and maintaining required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Manages research projects with other institutions and investigators.

  • Required Qualifications

    Ph.D., M.D. or an equivalent terminal degree and at least three years of postdoctoral experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Analytical reasoning and problem solving skills.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of standard laboratory policies, procedures and equipment.
    • Strong ability to communicate in oral and written form with all levels of personnel and technical publications.
    • Ability to work well independently or as a team member.
    • Experience in CAR-T therapies, gene modification, gene editing platforms, CRISPR-based screens, phage-display screens and gene therapy vector construction, large scale multi-parameter flow cytometry and analysis, and direct handling of animals in large mouse experiments (n ≥ 30 mice/exp) is strongly preferred, with the expectation of experience in a majority of these areas. 
    • Expertise in single cell genomics is an additional plus. 
    • Demonstrated record of publication.

    Salary Range

    The hiring range for this position is $53,830 - $72,675 annually.
