This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This position is in the Department of Developmental Biology on the Medical School Campus.



Essential Functions

POSITION SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will independently develop research projects that align with the overall interests of the lab, and will manage all aspects of these projects, including data collection and analysis, dissemination, personnel oversight, and regulatory compliance.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the PI on the design, conduct and reporting of research projects.
  • Assists with grant preparation and reporting. May submit grant proposals in rare circumstances with the approval of the PI, Department Chair and Dean.
  • Prepares and submits papers on research.
  • Complies with established safety procedures and maintaining required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Maintains and organizes source data on in-house servers and submits source data to government and private online repositories.
  • Manages research projects with other institutions and investigators.


  • Required Qualifications

    Ph.D., M.D. or an equivalent terminal degree and at least three years of postdoctoral experience.



    Preferred Qualifications

    Established track record of high quality publications in the fields of Development and Regeneration (broadly defined).



    Salary Range

    The hiring range for this position is $53,830 - $72,675 annually.

    This position works in a laboratory environment with potential to exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment.
