Summary Description

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) invites applications for a full-time position. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The successful candidate will work with other renowned clinicians and deliver primary care/general dentistry in our patient centered, comprehensive care faculty practice facilities. Specifically, the successful candidate will supervise postdoctoral fellows in our Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program.

AEGD is a post-graduate program in which residents perform more advanced patient care than on the pre-doctoral level. Candidate will be expected to monitor treatment plans and supervise procedures such as advanced fixed and removable rehabilitation, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. It is expected that candidate will work in cooperation with other departments within the school to ensure optimum patient care, as well as a successful resident experience.

Minimum Degree Required

DDS/DMD

Minimum Qualifications

Certificate of training from an ADA-accredited AEGD or GPR program or a program in Prosthodontics and a minimum of two year patient care experience are required. Degree from CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent also a requirement. Must be licensed to practice dentistry in NYS.

Preferred Qualifications

Other advanced specialty degrees will be considered. Previous teaching experience preferred.
