Project Engineer
Job Description
Kennedy Jenks is seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Project Engineer in our any of our California offices with civil and/or environmental water/wastewater experience. A successful candidate will play a vital role in evaluation and supporting design and construction of conveyance facilities relating to water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure projects and treatment process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis; Prepare detailed design, specifications and drawings. Design calculations with support of senior team. Assist the Project Manager where needed.
- Provide technical support and expertise to multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Write technical reports and maintain accurate project records, reports and documentation.
- Project management; support projects from conception through construction coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Lead small projects and attend both internal and external meetings where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
- 4+ years of related water/wastewater engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE
- Experience relevant software including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MictroStation, Civil3D and Microsoft products
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations
- Strong technical writing skills

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $85,900 to $142,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
