We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to help us manage day-to-day internal and external obligations mainly in the Program Services for our Special Operations Mission Area (SOMA). As a member of our team, you'll contribute to other mission areas across the Asymmetric Operations Sector as needed. You will be joining a hardworking team of engineer, scientists and other operations coordinators who are tackling the biggest Cyber Operations challenges we face today. As an Operations Coordinator for the National Intelligence Community (NIC) you will...

  • Primarily be responsible for business operations for a portfolio of work in the NIC domain.
  • Work closely with Program Managers (PM) and Program Operations Managers (POM) to develop and execute business operational procedures through the lifecycle of a program to include proposal, project execution and close out.
  • Develop a high level understanding of the technical work being performed by the program and the sponsor missions and priorities and be able to adequately convey the impact and importance to others.
  • Facilitate project execution by analyzing, developing, preparing, and organizing data and other critical information for internal and external program and project reviews, including content development and editorial review of technical materials.
  • Develop relationships with key sponsors and manage sponsor engagements for the program and technical teams to include planning and organization of meetings and conferences/seminars for both internal and external participants and sponsors.
  • Collaborate and team with other APL organizations (security, quality, communications, contracts, etc.) to ensure successful execution of project milestones and deadlines.
  • Closely collaborate with the APL security team to actively monitor and manage the processing and tracking of clearances for your program team(s).
  • Effectively collaborate with the Financial Manager (FM) and other Operations Coordinators to foster a highly communicative and collaborative business operations team.

Qualifications

 

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you....

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Have an active TS/SCI clearance.  Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.
  • Four-+ (4+) years of experience in coordinating multiple business,  operational, and administrative aspects of large project execution.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in tracking, monitoring, and updating program schedules, milestones, and/or contractual deliverables
  • Strong communication both oral and written with demonstrated experience communications with all levels of staff and sponsors. 
  • Demonstrated skills in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to be both effective working independently and within a group.  Can effectively prioritize competing efforts in a fast-paced environment
  • This job requires full time onsite work at JHU/APL or the sponsor site.
  • Hold an active TS/SCI+poly security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

You 'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you:

 

  • Have a Master's Degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Have a thorough understanding of Intelligence organizations and structures.
  • Are knowledgeable in usage of chatbots such as ChatGPT, BARD, Copilot etc to accelerate/automate workflows.
  • Understanding of security processes and procedures
  • Are knowledgeable and experienced with APL’s systems such as the financial management system and process, RAT, EBSS, eBuy, Service Now, OpsLink, etc.
