Position Summary

Graduate intern to work with the Associate Curator on object research and implementation of the summer 2025 special exhibition, Women Artist-Activists in Britain, 1880–1945: Creating a Room of One’s Own. There will also be opportunities to work on general curatorial projects, including providing tours of this summer’s exhibition, Guillaume Lethière.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
 

  • Research a wide variety of objects in the exhibition (paintings, prints, embroidery, stained glass)
  • Update checklists
  • Perform image research for exhibition graphic
  • Perform cataloguing of illustrations


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training, and Skills
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in art history or related field
  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program

  • Physical Demands: The position requires working at desk and using a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work Environment: Work will usually be performed in an office environment and museum spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
