Job Description

The Account Manager - Traditional Power Generation and Mining will be the industry subject matter expert (SME) within assigned customer accounts. Reporting to the Process Industry Sales Manager, you will expand our hardware, software, services and solutions into mining & metals space. Success is achieved through demonstrating a high degree of executive presence, technical knowledge, and driving high-valued business results . You will collaborate with the internal Rockwell domain expert team and channel partners. The account package is well established and comprises of our most important Mining, Cement and Aggregate customers. Areas of focus are Process Control, Digital Software Solutions, Machine Control, Power Control, Life Cycle Services offerings in the aforementioned industry areas. This opportunity location is remote-friendly.

What You Will Do

  • You will perform the role remotely and generate sales opportunities and close deals within assigned regional accounts.
  • You will consult with the customer with a high degree of Industry expertise and access to domain/technical knowledge and support in operational problem solving that will create solutions to the customer's problems.
  • You will understands and incorporate Rockwell Automation's outcome base selling philosophy and value proposition into everyday talk track with clients.
  • You will be seen as the SME in solutioning within Rockwell's industry-driven product portfolio linking services and technology to support the intended business outcome for the customer.
  • You will deliver a concise, well-written business case on the solution required for each account to include a financial executive summary.
  • You will communicate activities and account status with internal/external stakeholders- documenting in our CRM.
  • You will pull together the solution components and experts to qualify and develop a design. You will run the discovery and design from idea to implementation through close in assigned accounts and limited distribution partnerships.
  • You will follow Rockwell's outcome-based sales process to ensure that projects are scoped and delivered in adherence with customer expectations.
  • You will lead the sales pursuit teams (pricing resources, domain experts, supply chain, distributor partners, etc.) often to ensure all pricing components have been included and the level of service is high and accurate.
  • You will work independently or with other resources to obtain additional resource expertise.
  • You will be accountable for self-development, staying current with new and developing industry trends.

The Essentials- What you will have:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Legal authorization to work in United States is required - we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel 50% regionally- both day travel and overnight travel to mining sites will be required

The Preferred- What you may also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or science based discipline.
  • Typically requires 8+ years' experience in industrial solutions sales
  • Experience selling complex solutions to customers in heavy industries- Mining, Metals, Aggregate.
  • Experience communicating and presenting to an executive partner audience.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.

The total compensation range for this role is $169,440.00 - 254,160.00 USD of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience. Our company benefits for the US can be found by going to www.raquickfind.com
