We are seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst who will help us build positive relationships with our internal customers, working to understand their needs and to craft the processes, systems, and solutions that will enable them to meet their business objectives more effectively, then successfully guide those customers through the changes in their processes. You will be joining a dynamic team who thrive on providing creative and timely solutions for both complex on-premise systems and cloud applications. We strive to develop an environment of learning and collaboration and as a member of our team, you will play a major role in both operations support and new development and contribute to our success.

 

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Lead analysis for Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software by quickly learning new functionality, developing detailed business requirements and process flows, evaluating different software alternatives, configuring software, and developing requirements for integrations and reports.
  • Lead requirements for Agile software development by meeting with stakeholders and defining functional and system requirements, creating Agile epics, crafting user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria and working with the application owner and technical lead to prioritize and deliver high value solutions to the customer in a timely manner.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent years of professional work experience in related field.
  • Have 8+ years of professional work experience in a technical field.
  • Possess 3+ years of prior experience in Agile methodologies, specifically breaking down epics into smaller user stories, writing acceptance criteria and preparing cost estimates.
  • At least 1 year of previous project or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing, maintaining and supporting IT systems with detailed knowledge of full software development process.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with capability of advising multi-functional teams.
  • An effective communicator, adept at fostering collaboration and effectively presenting findings to technical and non-technical partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail, anticipate problems and initiate action, handle multiple tasks and projects, and react to changing priorities while maintaining work quality and accuracy.
  • Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Experience with innovation and collaboration COTS tools like Slack, SharePoint, Confluence Wiki
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in deployment process of enterprise web applications
  • Certification in Business Analysis and Design, Agile Methodologies or related field

Special Working Conditions: Occasional weekend and other after hours work required to handle and/or complete maintenance or project related activities.
