The Graduation Audit Specialist is within the Office of Enrollment Services. This crucial role involves preparing student records for program completion and aiding in the planning and execution of commencement ceremonies. Key responsibilities include conducting degree audits, processing graduation applications, and managing the student graduation list for each conferral period. The specialist will work closely with the Assistant Registrar and serve as a frontline representative in Admissions and Records (A&R), guiding students as they approach the completion of their academic programs. This position requires high-quality service delivery, ensuring a seamless transition for students through the conferral process, from being candidates to becoming graduates. The Graduation Audit Specialist will be the primary contact for graduating students, focused on streamlining services and offering consistent, caring support throughout the graduation process. This role is characterized by a holistic care approach, employing a case management strategy to effectively support student graduation.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management experience.
  • Extensive customer service experience with an ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to process and apply course exceptions and petitions to degree audits within policy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, work independently, and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment, providing graduation deficiencies, procedures, and deadlines to students and advisors.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of ceremony programs and other related ceremony materials.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools

Additional Considerations
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Experience using Student Information System (SIS), Navigate, Clearinghouse, and Parchment systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of curriculum as it relates to degree audit and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Experience evaluating degree audits to ensure applicants have met all degree requirements as published in the catalog.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate coursework to be transferred into GCC.
  • Experience collaborating with academic departments to ensure students meet all graduation requirements.
  • Intermediate Excel Database knowledge
  • Experience in Event Planning.
