DESCRIPTION

A Behavioral Health Counselor 4, working as part of the Integrated Behavioral health team will assess and treat patients' behavioral health needs, appropriately document encounters for billing and communication purposes, and participate in population health management. Responsibilities will also include management of program services and response to referred patients, conducting quality improvement activities on cohorts of patients assigned, will be available for consultations to PCPs and their patients at two clinics assigned to the position based on program and patient population needs, and contribute to the training and oversight of practicum students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in a related mental health area.

  • A valid California license as a mental health provider (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC) in good standing.

  • Minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two (2+) or more years experience in integrated behavioral health in primary care settings.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.

Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $82,500 - $151,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $39.51 - $72.56

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
