POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for a Engineering Technician IV. The proposed technical effort is to aid in the build, test and fielding of RF Communications and network systems, both narrowband and broadband SATCOM and HF/UHF/VHF radio terminals currently configured for US Navy fielded systems. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to work with schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies with shipboard/shore-based radio and baseband systems.

  • Perform electronic equipment troubleshooting/repair, both in an operational and test environment, shipboard and shore. Perform test and set up of equipment/systems per specific guidance/test procedures that conform to fleet-mandated operational requirements.
  • Plan and prioritize work schedule for project requirements. Provides support to the Production Lead and Production Supervisor on all production assignments; works in other departments and/or miscellaneous assignments as instructed. Will be responsible for work projects where independent activities are required.
  • Maintain project documentation to include post-installation test and check documents. Ensure that all documents are properly completed and filed in their assigned location.
  • Prepare, review and verify a variety of documents, forms and reports on operations and engineering activities/studies.
  • Required to regularly supervise two or more employees.
  • Will be required to interview, select and train employees.
  • Keeps supervisor and co-workers appraised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written instructions
  • Ability to operate and maintain portable and non-portable RF electronic transmitter and receiver equipment, measuring and control equipment, microwave amplifiers, transmission lines, power supplies, network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and antenna systems.

Payrate:$38.46 to $48.08 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 6 years of specific experience with electronics component/system fabrication and repair. Demonstrated knowledge of US Navy ship and shore C4I systems, hulls can include CVN, CG, DDG, LHA/LHD, LPD, LSD vessels. Systems can include:
  • AN/USC-69A Series Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)
  • AN/WSC-9 Series Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT)
  • AN/SRC-54E SINCGARS
  • AN/SRC-60A EPLRS
  • AN/USC-61 Digital Modular Radio (DMR)
  • Joint Tactical Terminal-Maritime (JTT-M)
  • Experience in SHIPALT environment highly desired. Ability to construct systems in accordance with Installation Design Plans (IDP) and Ship Installation Drawings (SID).
  • Build, assemble and test RF cables, power and control cables; be able to solder and assemble PCB boards in accordance with schematics.
  • Proof of supporting technical schools, whether military or civilian highly desired.
