What you'll do:

As a Deposit Portfolio Manager, you'll be responsible at the divisional level for providing support to Relationship Managers by servicing a variety of banking clients and assisting to resolve customer issues. This role will focus on building relationships and completing timely follow up to ensure issues are resolved and customer is ultimately satisfied.

What we are looking for:

  • Responds timely to inbound inquiries, answers questions and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
  • Consistently applies superior decision-making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures.
  • Gathers all information necessary to present a deposit or treasury management opportunity to management for approval; meets with new/potential customers.
  • May manage client relationships with a portfolio of clients that are deposit focused.
  • Works with RM to service portfolio as needed, works with TM sales, onboarding, and client service teams to complete client requests.
  • Compiles and analyzes market research data to develop recommendations regarding products and services focused on needs of existing clients.
  • Maintains CRM data base including calls and results on relationships. Makes reports to RMs as required.
  • Represents the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business; assists the Bank in establishing and maintaining market position in the legal banking arena.
  • Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability, demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience, in banking,deposits, account servicing or other directly related experience.
  • Experience in the Settlement Services or Legal Banking space is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit onboarding/operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Must have strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences and excellent customer service.
  • Working knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to work with relationship managers, legal department, senior managing director and clients as needed.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $102,000.00 - $126,000.00 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
