American Specialty Health, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our Marketing department. The purpose of this position it to support a fast-paced Marketing department by providing support for our company's social presence as well as other assigned functions as needed. This position will be responsible for working with the corporate and content marketing team on social media strategies, content management, customer knowledge development and operational efficiency.

Hourly Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $15.00 to $20.00 Hourly Wage Range.
Remote Worker Considerations
Candidates who are selected for this position may be trained virtually or onsite and must have the capability to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 50 Mbps upload speed). This position will require occasional onsite office work. ASH requires all onsite employees and employees who travel for their position to review and acknowledge ASH's Communicable Disease and Pandemic Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Marketing team with various projects as assigned. Ensures accuracy and productivity in project completion and works cooperatively with all internal and external contacts. Achieves and exceeds company standards.
  • Works closely with Social Media team to develop social media strategies and tactics that dovetail into marketing campaigns and product development.
  • Assists in developing editorial calendars of social media posts for each product line and assists in the scheduling of posts.
  • Researches health and wellness, nutrition and other news articles and images on a daily basis and posts timely comments and links, as appropriate, and in accordance with the business mission for each line of business.
  • Works with blog editorial board to maintain the editorial calendar of content.
  • Assists in developing and implementing engaging and fun social media contests, campaigns, etc., as appropriate to support internal and external customers.
  • Keeps abreast of social media trends and recommends new ideas, channels, blogs and opportunities.
  • Strategizes opportunities to connect with social media influencers within appropriate industries and get them discussing ASH's services in positive ways.
  • Assists in developing coaching/training strategies for ASH employees and executives on social media.
  • Assists marketing team with budget support, including logging marketing department expenses to ensure accounts offer a clear view of remaining funds by account.
  • Builds out customer personas for key fitness products, based on external and internal data and other available research.
  • Supports Marketing functions with other administrative departments to ensure efficient and effective team work is maintained within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Some college courses completed, or equivalent experience in business or health care field preferred. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • One year experience working in a business setting preferred, such as an office or corporate environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Internet search. Outlook experience preferred.
  • Experience in social media channels: LinkedIn, Facebook; social media analytic tools, content development and calendaring.
  • Demonstrated writing proficiency, communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Environmental Conditions

Office and/or Work-from-home (WFH) environment.
