Clinical Nurse Educator, Consultant
Job Description
Your Role
The Medical Care Solutions education team is responsible for all new hire, continuing technical training, and clinical education for all departments within Medical Care Solutions. This includes Utilization Management, Case Management, and Appeals. The Clinical Educator position will report to the Senior Manager of Health Promotion and Education.
Your Work
In this role you will be supporting the following:
- Clinical education for Care Management for all lines of business (Medicare, MediCal, Commercial, etc.)
- Clinical new hire and continuing education on Care Management department processes and workflows for RN's, LVN's, Social Workers, and Health Coaches
- Develop and design training modules for Clinical Education using Care Management systems and programs
- Create learning competencies and assessments for Care Management clinical programs
- Use the ADDIE model to support Care Management projects and programs
- Represent the training and education team in project meetings
- Act as a clinical subject matter expert in developing process documentation
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires a current CA RN License
- Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires at least 3 years of experience in disease and complex case management
- Desired experience using Motivational Interviewing techniques
- Desired experience working for a health insurance organization
- Desired experience educating and/or supporting clinical education
- Desired experience designing, developing, and facilitating clinical training content
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
