Director of Family Shelters - HOUSE

Full-Time

Fall River, MA

The HOUSE (Helping Others until Self Empowered) Program is a short-term EA (emergency assistance) shelter program for families. Families are identified and referred to Catholic Social Services by DHCD (Department of Housing and Community Development). The main focus of the emergency assistance shelter program is to help families achieve successful placement into stable housing. Additionally, Catholic Social Services connects families to resources that are available within their respective communities to sustain long-term stable housing.

The Director of Family Shelters will exhibit positive leadership while supervising staff and oversee all programmatic functions including, but not limited to, program compliance, regulations/guidelines, hours of operation and required documentation. This position will provide supportive services to all activities related to daily operations and promote agency culture, learning, respect and dignity.

The Director is also responsible providing services that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and client-centered.

Qualifications include:

  • BA/BS in Human Services preferred, experience in human services, housing and homelessness services
  • High level of personal accountability for the quality and impact of work
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Bi-lingual helpful
