Pay Range - $62,582.75 to $100,131.55 (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The primary purpose of the Accountant Position is to support financial accounting activities of the organization. Completes payroll administration and reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger, etc. Monitors labor expenditure trends and helps ensure company compliance with all Federal, State and Local payroll and labor laws. Develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Interprets reports and records for managers.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of related payroll & general ledger accounting experience
Advanced working knowledge of Excel
Working knowledge of UKG Pro Software
Prior experience working with SAP preferred
FPC or CPP credential strongly preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ non-exempt and exempt employees.
    2. Reviews timecards daily and provides guidance to timekeepers and managers regarding Federal & State labor regulation compliance.
    3. Assist with monthly and quarterly cycle Group Health Insurance and Flexible Benefit Plan related accounting.
    4. Prepare and post periodic intra-department labor cost transfer journal entries.
    5. Monitor job-cost related labor accounting and prepare government contracting required labor cost and hours report as needed.
    6. Compile data for and complete periodic Department of Labor (DOL) cost and hours reporting as needed.
    7. Prepare on demand payroll checks as needed to comply with California Final Pay regulations.
    8. Assist with Quarter/Year end audit process.
    9. Payroll Bank Account reconciliation, including cash flow management.
    10. Leads special projects for the department.
    11. Researches and submits recommendations for any department manager inquiry regarding labor costs and hours.
