Essential Job Duties

The technician will work on our stream ecology projects in Puerto Rico. The individual will work as a team member in our project assessing the effects of droughts and hurricanes on stream ecosystem structure and function, with emphasis on aquatic macroinvertebrates. Duties include sampling aquatic macroinvertebrates, data recording and processing, and sample processing. The technician will work in coordination with our field team in Puerto Rico, so communication in Spanish is necessary. The position will be based at El Verde Field Station, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
