Sun River Health provides the highest quality of comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all who seek it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable. Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Operations to support our lower Hudson Valley region (Rockland and Westchester Counties).

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the administrative, operational and strategic direction of Federally Qualified Health Centers, identifying and securing Federal, State and local funding and grant management activities. The VP plans, direct and coordinate operations in support of Sun River Health growth and strategic planning for future growth. Manages daily operations that are aligned with best practices, Federal, State and local statutes and funders’ requirements.

· Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficient service delivery across multiple sites.

· Assures adequate systems are in place to serve patient in a "patient-centered" way and in patient centered environments, work with on-boarding orientating staff to Planetree.

· Participates in the development and implementation of training, mentoring and growth for Sun River staff.

· Monitors site to support achieving Sun River's Key Performance Indicators including: increasing access & visit volume, expenditures, staff hiring and retention, patient experience (responsible for reporting on statistics, tracking variance, and improvement plans).

· Facilitates the development of services at regional sites.

· Participates in cross organizational efforts to address Key Performance Indicators.

· Represents Sun River Health at meetings in the community, with partner organizations and in developing new relations to meet goals of Sun River Health.

· Hires and supervises staff at all centers in region and coordinates cross department staffing needs for nursing and provider staff.

· As appropriate, partners cross departmentally to ensure execution of grant and program deliverable impacting sites in the region.

· Supports quality improvement efforts, operational excellence, participation in pilots and efforts to expand.

· Services as a liaison between central organization/administrative leadership and health centers

 

Education & Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field

Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

10+ years Health Care experience in operations or Nursing setting

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary $155,000-$165,000 annual
