Position Summary
Under general supervision of assigned manager/supervisor, assists the ART Department Gallery Committee in the operation of the Kondos Gallery and does related work as required.

Temporary employees earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours.
Assignment Responsibilities
Coordinates with artists to set up approximately 3 exhibitions per semester; processes paperwork to pay gallery and department curator amounts, visiting artists, and speaker and juror fees; communicates and schedules pick up and drop off of artwork; coordinates artist talks; publicizes and markets gallery exhibits through social media; schedules and oversees gallery attendants; installs and de-installs art exhibits; organizes and prepares art receptions; uses a computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; and catalogs, files, photographs, and labels materials. Performs duties essential to the operation of the Kondos Gallery.

Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE: One year work experience related to two-or-three- dimensional art laboratories, gallery and portfolio art classes.
EDUCATION: Completion of an Associate’s Degree in Art or 60 semester units (90 quarter units) with 18 units in art courses.
Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.
(Experience Requirement: One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week. Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement. Education Requirement: One year of education is equal to 30 semester units.)
Education must be from an accredited institution.
