Description

We are seeking a Program Operations Specialist to provide security support to a complex multi-project closed facility. Support highly-classified AMDS programs, to include data transfer, database management and publishing, meeting scheduling and coordination, processing requisitions and purchase orders.  Collaborate with the Facility Operations Manager, Program Managers, Security staff, and Information Assurance staff to optimize facility operations.  Tasking may include various administrative tasks, from time to time.

 

As a Program Operations Specialist you will...

  1. Independently handle security-administration related matters in person, via telephone, and via data distribution networks for: database entry, publishing, maintenance and document management. Provide property management support.  Process purchase order request to include managing supplies for the facility.  Solve any related problems, some without precedent, and document associated procedural changes or new procedures. Develop methods to expedite workflow. 
  2. Complete data transfers. Assist Program and Project Managers with conducting Assured Data Transfers on highly classified Information Systems (IS). This will require understanding of each IS data transfer process and updates to the process as they are made. This will also require coordinating with engineering staff, Program Security Representatives (PSR) and Information Systems Security Managers and Officers (ISSM/ISSOs). 
  3. Work with Program Managers to administer the special needs for their classified programs. Ensure program staff security awareness by developing and conducting briefings, developing and improving procedures, and educating customers regarding security and administrative procedures in the facility. Stay current on security requirements by continual communication with Contractor PSRs, Facility Security Administrators, the Facility Security Manager, Information System Security Officers, and program management staff. Implement policies and operating procedures. 
  4. Complete a wide variety of procedures supporting faxing (sending, receiving, distribution), filing, copying, setting up and maintaining records and document library. Wrapping and completing paperwork for mailing (sending and receiving) or hand carrying material. Media distribution, labeling, scanning, assisting customers with various required administrative tasks. Support facility access control, escorting, security-related paperwork. 
  5. Arrange visitor control requirements for both incoming and outgoing events. Coordinate with program management staff. Support personnel access process as required. Schedule internal meetings and support sponsor meetings at APL. 

 

 

 


Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience in a classified environment such as operation of complex facilities and working with sensitive data and material
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, experience interfacing with counterparts, technical staff, managers, and sponsors in a discrete and professional manner.
  • Experience exercising good judgment and discretion to resolve discrepancies, solve problems, and extrapolate from specialized security knowledge to real world practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions to complex administrative, organizational, or technology challenges.
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Specialized experience with or training in highly classified programs, information systems, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and ability to use informational databases.
  • Hold an active Secret clearance with in-scope (within six years) background investigation and willingness to get a CI polygraph and ultimately be able to a obtain a Top Secret with additiional accesses. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
  • Willingness to drive for periodic local travel and travel to test sites on occasion.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours, including weekends on occasion to support customer requirements.
