Job Summary

The Program Coordinator for the PPDC will perform administrative tasks, including record-keeping and registration, work closely with instructors and students by answering any questions or concerns about classes, and assist them with the registration process as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or Associate’s Degree (or equivalent – 60 college credit hours) and a minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience that includes demonstrated work experience with detail-oriented tasks of a significant nature
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Equipment: Computer literacy to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • General office equipment
  • Strong problem-analysis and problem-resolution skills
  • Experience working for an institution of higher education

Essential Functions

  • Support PPDC efforts to include assembling course data information into course folders, setting up course data forms, maintaining course fee codes, maintaining class folders, registering students, generating certificates, etc.
  • Provide assistance with course registration, cancellation, and notification to proper individuals
  • Assist the director in developing and implementing new program offerings
  • Contact instructors with regard to requirements for the class and handle necessary logistics, including all travel arrangements
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of the PPDC continuing education schedule.
  • Prepare handouts and other material for courses in a timely manner
  • Generate purchase orders, invoices, and monitor class enrollment and payments by use of tracking systems
  • Serve on and perform duties with college-wide committees as requested
  • Order office and classroom supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Office setting

Security Sensitivity

Min Salary

$40,100 (annualized salary)

Max Salary

$42,000 (annualized salary)

Pay Statement

Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
