DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator acts as a point of contact for patients. The position performs and participates in front office patient centered duties, to include, but not limited to, greeting patients, co-pay collection, appointment scheduling, authorizations and referrals. The position acts as a resource for patients and assists physicians, staff, and ambulatory care service managers as needed. May perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
  • Strong problem solving ability by using good judgment and applying these skills to assist customers and ensure customers' expectations are met.
  • Proficient computer skills and be able to work between multiple systems during calls.
  • Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over phone.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, handle deadlines and manage conflicting demands with limited supervision.
  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgement and discretion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • EPIC and Cadence.
  • Experience working in a pain clinic.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Floats to other sites to provide coverage as needed.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,077 - $65,960 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.42 - $31.59

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
