Senior Network Engineer - 24-006 - CONTINGENT - San Diego, CA


AUSGAR Technologies has a new CONTINGENT opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, California.

  • Support an important new Navy Architecture using cutting-edge technology.
  • Design and implement a network architecture that meets NSA Commercial Solution for Classified (CSfC) requirements.
  • Review and select the appropriate CSfC solution for the program.
  • Review and understand NSA CSfC requirements, design the architecture, select the network products to implementation the architecture and implement the network solution.
  • Work with Navy program leadership, NAVINTEL and NSA to discuss requirements and implementation.
  • Leverage previous network design expertise to work with the Navy government to design a network architecture solution that could be deployed to multiple locations.
  • Use a strong understanding of firewalls, routers and networking principles.
  • Develop a network design that implements the CSfC Black, Gray and Red network concepts.
  • Understand how to create and implement system engineering requirements.
  • Have Cisco experience and some familiarity with Virtual Environments.
Requirements

  • Must have a current TS/SCI clearance, CI Poly highly preferred.
  • Must have a Cisco Network Certificate (CCNA or equivalent) upon hire.
  • BS degree from an accredited university/college in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience with implementing Network solutions.
  • Must have experience designing network solutions and excellent network engineering design and implementation skills.
  • Must have experience with firewalls, Cisco routers/switches and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) devices.
  • Must have some experience and familiarity with Virtual Environments.
  • Must have experience with configurations, including LAN, WAN and VLAN.
  • Experience with CSfC solutions.
  • Experience working with NAVINTEL or NSA preferred.
  • Experience with implementing Black, Gray and Red networking designs preferred.
  • Strong problem solving excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate engineering requirements in writing.
  • Ability to give presentations as needed.
  • Expected travel: 10%.

Salary Range: $120-220K


An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.


AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
