THOR Solutions is seeking a motivated mid-level SharePoint Administrator and Process Automation Specialist, to contribute your expertise and technical support to the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) in San Diego, CA. In this role, you'll support NIWC's Knowledge Management (843), IPT Support (6.0), and Process Automation (841) codes to develop and maintain SharePoint structures & libraries, provide technical support for SharePoint, and support process automation tasking. This role requires a diverse skill set, including technical proficiency and strong analytical capabilities, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience obtained in a U.S Navy/DoD environment.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • SharePoint Administration and Development: Craft and refine SharePoint pages, document libraries, and schemas, facilitating seamless data migration from existing systems. Offer guidance to users transitioning to SharePoint.
  • Technical Support and Customer Assistance: Provide responsive technical support via Project Portal help desk and email, addressing queries on NIWC Hub, SharePoint, and automation tools. Support the development and execution of customer surveys related to data management, visualization, and analysis tools, translating insights into actionable briefs.
  • Process Automation and Tool Integration: Collaborate with the Process Automation team, lending expertise in database development, process automation, and Atlassian Jira project management software. Enhance team efficiency through Jira development and operation.
  • NIWC Hub Administration: Create and maintain NIWC Hub pages using Atlassian Confluence software.

Location: Hybrid. ~1 day/week onsite at Naval Base Point Loma, and the remainder may be flex/telework. Position may require additional regular onsite days, up to full time onsite, based on contract & customer requirements.

Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.

Schedule: California Alternate Work Week schedule. Mondays - Thursdays 9 hours daily, and Fridays alternate between 8 hours or 0 hours.

Target Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00/hour.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must already possess an active or interim Secret clearance (highly preferred), or be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance as a precondition to hire.

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
    • In lieu of the above, a degree in another field, a lesser degree, relevant vocational training or certifications, or relevant military experience may be considered.
  • At least two (2) years of recent, relevant professional experience with SharePoint administration or development.
    • Experience obtained in a US Navy/DoD environment is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint in a developer and administrator role.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other common productivity software.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence, and/or Microsoft Power Apps is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
