Summary of Position

The GCA I serves as a research administration professional within Pre-Award Compliance accepting workflow assignments and providing the highest level of service to the research community and assisting the Pre-Award Compliance GCA’s with proposal preparation and submission.
As an integral part of the research administration community and in support of the university’s overall research mission, this position requires an unwavering commitment to service and excellence in a deadline-driven environment.. Due to the ever-evolving nature of the work and peak proposal seasons, this position requires a willingness to flex work schedules to accommodate unforeseen challenges or high volume, and may require occasional overtime, subject to
management prior approval.

Duty/Responsibility

This position will perform support functions related to proposal preparation, review and submission. Duties include:
  • Assistance with preparation of standard business components of grant application.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all grant-related materials and applications to meet proposal timelines.
  • Cultivate an exceptional work environment by consistently putting forth an optimistic and positive attitude, a willingness to assist others, and an excellent work ethic.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Utilize CAYUSE Electronic Research Administration System
  • Participate in training and development activities, particularly in regards to processes and procedures of SPA and other units involved in sponsored project administration.
  • Provide administrative support for PreAward Compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
