Harris is looking for anAssistant Construction Managerto join our dynamic Program & Construction Management team in San Diego, California.

TheAssistant Construction Managerwill assistthe day-to-day efforts related to program management of K-12 based projects including programming, planning, design, procurement, construction, and asset management projects for ourclients.

Responsibilities
  • Supportthe Construction Manager, on-site, ensuring that the project is constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
  • Responsible for administrative and technical oversight on project site.
  • Responsible for the preparation, editing and/or distribution of project specific project status reports to the owner.
  • Responsible for oversight for adherence to cost and schedule
  • Responsible for identification of work for consistency with plans & specifications and contract documents.
  • Responsible for the preparation and editing of various project documents and reports
  • Developand distributetimely meeting agendas and minutes
  • Assistwith the resolution of project matters/issues.
  • Assistthe Construction Manager with observing, monitoring, and documenting the work of the contractor, specialty inspectors
  • Assistwith the management of documentation, document control and filing, meeting agendas and minutes, RFIs, , submittals, change orders, reporting, and progress payments
  • Works under the supervision of the Project/Construction Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 4+ years of relevant construction management experience
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • CMIT, QSP, EIT, or PMP preferred
  • OSHA 10 (required within 1 month of hiring)
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $105K-125K. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
