GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This is a full-time position located on either the Emmetsburg or Estherville Campus. As a crucial member of the marketing team, the Marketing Project Coordinator is instrumental in implementing an executing strategic marketing plans under the guidance of the Executive Director of Marketing. Responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling meetings, monitoring budgets, and maintaining marketing reports. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong collaboration and organizational skills, possess a proactive approach as a self-starter, work independently, and actively contribute to the preparation and occasional execution of Iowa Lakes’ events and activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination of marketing initiatives and the overall success of our team’s objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (% OF TIME):
 
Constant (67-100%)
  1. Collaborate in the implementation of strategic communication plans under the guidance of the Executive Director of Marketing.
  2. Monitor and oversee project details throughout their lifecycle, coordinating with internal resources and external vendors as needed.
  3. Maintain comprehensive project documentation using the established project management system.
  4. Identify specific communication goals, objectives, and evaluation methods, offering recommendations to establish creative direction.
  5. Demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines and within budget constraints.
  6. Act as a liaison between the Marketing team and various departments across the college.
  7. Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal and external marketing contacts, prioritizing a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  8. Coordinate the distribution of digital and traditional advertisements.
  9. Serve as the college photographer, showcasing proficiency in headshots and action photography.
  10. Collect, distribute, and track lead generation, utilizing CRM systems when applicable.
  11. Measure and report the performance of digital marketing campaigns in alignment with marketing goals.
  12. Research, order, and maintain promotional product inventory.
  13. Maintain data analysis spreadsheets to measure the impact of marketing campaigns across traditional and non-traditional media.
  14. Provide administrative support by preparing and reconciling monthly marketing expenses, purchase orders, p-card transactions, timesheets, requisitions, mileage forms, and other relevant reports.
  15. Assist in scheduling and maintaining traditional advertising campaigns, demonstrating adept management within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
  16. Proofread and edit marketing documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  17. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Frequent (34-66%)

  1. Collaborate in the management of social media platforms and the corporate website.
  2. Apply knowledge of Content-based and WordPress websites to support web-related tasks.
  3. Aid in the collection, distribution, and tracking of lead generations, utilizing Customer Relationship Management systems when applicable.
  4. Contribute to marketing automation initiatives, as well as project and communication mapping.
  5. Conduct analysis to measure the impact of both traditional and digital campaigns, aiming to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
  6. Demonstrate flexibility with a willingness to work varied or additional hours as needed, including evenings and weekends, if required.

Occasional (10-33%)

  1. Provide assistance and participation in fairs, career days, and any other events as required.
  2. Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  3. Acquire the ability to learn and operate various types of printing equipment as needed.
  4. Engage in recruiting and retaining “order/sales” for Iowa Lakes Printing Services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Represent the college positively and professionally to employees, students, visitors, and the general public.
  2. Must be enthusiastic and energetic in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  3. Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  4. Must be able to read, understand, and express oneself clearly and effectively in oral and written communication.
  5. Ability to work independently, make critical decisions, and analyze complex issues.
  6. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Mail Chimp, Customer Relationship Management software, Canva, WordPress, Asana, and use an Apple or PC.
  7. Proficient in using Microsoft Office products.
  8. Thorough knowledge and understanding of traditional and digital marketing platforms, general marketing principles, and practices.

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

Sedentary to light work. Position involves sitting most of the time; exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally (10-33%). Stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying, walking, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion frequently (34-66%). Talking, hearing, and viewing various types of close visual work constantly (67-100%). May be required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.

Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An Associate Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field with one to four years of relevant experience required with demonstrated success in marketing role, marketing communications, and development approaches, formats, and systems. Experience with brand management, project management and tools, tactics, and systems; communication social media technology platforms (i.e. WordPress), and photography.

Salary: $21.57 per hour
