Job Description

 

GENERAL PURPOSE

NSCC is seeking a qualified part-time Art Instructor with the flexibility to teach Oil and Acrylic Painting and Beginning drawing day and evening section offerings, for the Fall 2024 semester. Sculpting is offered in future semesters. The part-time Art Instructor will work closely with full-time faculty in the Humanities, and the Dean in their leadership, development, assessment, and evaluation of curriculum. They will also provide assessment and other student retention and success-related information as required. In addition, the applicant will assist from time to time with course redesign, as well as facilities and supply needs for Art instruction.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in  Fine Art and Design or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the same, or an equivalent amount of professional practice and experience. Familiarity with Sakai is a plus. Interested candidates must submit an employment application, and copies of their unofficial transcripts to be considered.
