Clinical Research Manager

Job Description

CLINICAL RESEARCH MANAGER, Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR), to be responsible for the overall clinical oversight of all activities occurring in CCTR facilities.  Will serve as a manager, clinical resource, and liaison for clinical research activities and provide management, leadership, and daily oversight of research activities and related operations.  Responsibilities include serving as a resource consultant for all researchers (investigators) for the life cycle of the research project; overseeing and identifying research resources and promoting interdisciplinary translational research and team science; developing in-depth knowledge of all MIT community resources and connecting researchers with cutting-edge resources and emerging technologies; connecting researchers with other investigators across disciplines and institutions; facilitating clinical and translational research; developing knowledge of institutional/practice cultural nuances and how they may impact collaborations; and performing other duties as needed. 

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  BSN; active RN license to practice in Massachusetts; five years’ clinical practice and/or direct clinical research experience; supervisory/management experience; in-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in the conduct of clinical trials with human participants and ability to adhere to HHS regulations, 45 CFR part 46, Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects (aka Common Rule); current Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative and BLS certifications and/or commitment to receive certification/recertify within thirty-days of hire; active clinical license and all continuing education requirements for MA state licensure; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues.  PREFERRED: MSN or NP; experience using electronic research capturing software, e.g., REDCap; basic command of office and statistical software; active membership in a professional research organization, e.g., IACRN, SOCRA, or ACRP; and clinical research center experience.  Job #23848
