ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a General Maintenance Technician to join our Operations Services team at Coronado Naval Base Energy Center located in San Diego, California. This position is onsite.

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of systems and buildings at company and customer sites ensuring reliable, efficient, and cost-effective long-term operation.

The essential functions of the position include:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of equipment and buildings requiring practical skills and knowledge.
• Maintain one or more systems that provide an establishment with such services as heat, air-conditioning (cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air), refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity
• Capable but not proficient at such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
• Work involves a variety of the following duties: equipment PM's, replacing filters, belts, cleaning condensing units, and checking air compressors and other equipment
• Responsible for field verification of safe work practices and implementation of operational excellence
• Ensure safety permits are being obtained and activity hazard analyses are being conducted
• Be familiar with preventive maintenance techniques

Your background includes:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of work experience

A bonus to have:
