Description: What you'll be doing

Another Source's client, San Diego College of Continuing Education Foundation (SDCCE Foundation), is recruiting an Administrative Assistant to join their team in San Diego, CA.

The San Diego College of Continuing Education Foundation (SDCCE Foundation) is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the advancement of education for San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE). SDCCE functions as an integral part of the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) as the tuition-free, noncredit, adult education and career technical education institution of SDCCD. The SDCCE Foundation officially functions as an auxiliary organization for SDCCE as defined by State of California Education Code.

San Diego College of Continuing Education is the adult education division of the San Diego Community College District. As the largest provider of noncredit education in California, SDCCE's mission is to provide accessible, equitable, and innovative quality education and career training to adult students. SDCCE has offered free career training and classes continuously for more than 100 years.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000.

About the role:

This position will equally support both the Fiscal Director and the Employee Training Institute Director. This role will manage calendar, meeting scheduling, event support, and other support as needed.

    Perform a wide variety of clerical work, including, typing, proofreading, filing, verifying, and posting information on records.
  • Greet visitors; answer telephones; schedule appointments; provide information and assistance to students, faculty, and the general public.
  • Operate a variety of office machines and equipment, including computer hardware and software.

Required qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to:

  • Graduation from high school
  • 1 year of general clerical and typing/keyboarding experience.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Filing and record-keeping techniques.
  • Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, including computer hardware and software.
