Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout CommonSpirit Health. Finally, you must demonstrate personal and professional accountability to our community, employees, nurses and physicians for performance that this role and its team complete.

St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs’ community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado’s home base for the Flight For Life® Colorado air medical transport service.

As the Chief Executive Officer for St. Francis Hospital, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and management to the facility pertaining to patient care, finance, quality standards, IT, staffing and human resources, network development, and more. In this role, you will work with the Market President in:
- The development of the organization's mission and vision
- Hospital policy and direction
- Strategic and tactical plans
- Relations with management
- Organization-wide assessment and evaluation, including assessing and evaluating business unit executives and staff, and determining their assignment
In this role, you will be required to have a flexible management style, with the ability to function in a complex culture with significant diversity, and be able to produce positive results. You will provide leadership and direction, be willing to listen, take counsel, and balance the interests of diverse constituencies, and make decisions for the greater good of the whole.

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduate Degree in health care administration, business, or related field
- Ten years of experience in leadership within a comprehensive acute care setting or hospital organization
- Experience in successfully integrating services within a large, complex health system
- Success in producing exemplary accomplishments in an environment of limited resources
- Demonstrated ability and leadership in change management
- Experience in a highly competitive market
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior CEO experience is highly preferred
- Fellow American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) is desirable
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

Pay Range:$376,500 - $431,500/annually
