Description

This position is responsible for the management and movement of material from receipt to production, including quality inspection and acceptance; the accurate reporting of MRP items to procurement and production personnel; the movement and accountability of finished goods to other sites; and the movement and excessing of obsolete equipment. Duties may include developing material identification and acquisition requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules; receiving new material, shipping material and finished goods, and providing the status of material currently in the ERP system; planning and managing material movement with purchasing and production; and managing overall inventory cycle count operations. This position is also responsible for serving as a secondary procurement professional and shipping and receiving agent.

This position is expected to work with a great deal of independence to successfully achieve high level objectives that significantly contribute to the development and delivery of items covered under the contract. This non-supervisory position will be required to provide status reports to Production and Program Managers on a routine basis.

Education and Years of Experience:

• BS/BA and 4+ years of combined inventory / material control experience required.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems and common operating procedures related to inventory tracking and management.
• Must have experience tracking and inspecting a large Consolidated Memorandum Receipt (CMR) or similar.
• Must understand material control principles and industry best practices.
• Must demonstrate a self-starting and detail-oriented work ethic.
• Must have stellar communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Previous Navy (or other service) experience
• Familiarity with Navy or DoD property management procedures and systems
• Active Secret Clearance preferred
