Sr. Specialist, CRM & Email Marketing

Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. We are 29,000 strong, working together across 1,500+ pet care centers, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics, eight distribution centers and two support centers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

30% Partners with Talent Acquisition and others across Petco to develop strategic, multi-channel, integrated recruitment marketing campaigns to engage and build the talent community base, increase page traffic and applications.

  • Evaluate, research, design, develop, test, and implement email recruitment marketing campaigns & newsletters programs segmented by target audience and candidate pools

  • Develop segmentation and personalization strategy to drive talent community engagement, build lead database and continuous improvement of email KPI's.

  • Manage email campaigns and schedules to ensure on time execution. Secure approvals from stakeholders.

  • Analyze and interpret results from email marketing campaigns, share learnings and make recommendations to drive improvement in campaigns.

  • Develop a testing strategy for email marketing campaigns, including subject lines, dynamic content, creative layout, targeting, etc.

  • Stay on top of email best practice and bring innovative ideas to test making Petco's TA email program best in class.

20% Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project or marketing campaign to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished. Activities include:

  • Developing or reviewing project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

  • Establishing work plan for each phase of project.

  • Directing activities of project personnel to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Preparing project reports for management or others, and modifies schedules or plans as required; and

  • Conferring with project teams to provide technical advice and resolve problems.

30% Train and support Talent Acquisition on CRM system and best practices as the Subject Matter Expert to increase system usage & adoption. Develop and optimize existing processes with cross-functional collaboration.

20% Clean, improve and problem solve data quality to ensure the integrity of candidate information within CRM system.

Nature of Supervision

General instruction is given on program and project objectives, and work is reviewed during development or implementation phase.

Planning and Problem Solving

This position collaborates across the TA organization to ensure we are effectively marketing the correct message at the correct time to the correct candidates.

Education/Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing and/or business administration or equivalent experience in a related role.

  • 5+ years progressively responsible related work experience or customer/candidate relationship management (CRM) strategy using analytics and data-driven insights with customer/candidate profiles or segmentation, customer/candidate database mining, predictive modeling, and analysis or through an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.

  • Experience with a modern CRM platform such as Phenom, SalesForce, Avature or HubSpot is required.

  • Direct, hands-on experience with PHENOM CRM is desired but not required.

  • CRM experience within a Talent Acquisition capacity is desired but not required.

  • Proven ability to apply best practices, data privacy regulations, assess trends, competitor actions and technological advances in CRM, email and SMS/text-enabled marketing, and related services.

  • Strong experience with customer/candidate experience design, customer/candidate insights, customer/candidate journeys, the role each brand touchpoint can play in developing awareness and action, in addition to the overall communication plan.

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Experience running and optimizing digital marketing programs and developing strategies to engage and grow leads.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices including deliverability, personalization, subject lines, reporting, send time optimization, etc.

  • Familiarity with data privacy; abides all laws, codes and policies related to data privacy and DMA ethics

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team and managing multiple projects

Work Environment

Most tasks are performed while seated indoors at a personal computer.

Limited travel may be required periodically throughout the year.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Employer Brand (TA) and works with TA Directors, Managers and recruiters. May also interact with medical leadership team (doctors).

Location

Candidates may work remotely and should live in the United States. Relocation and work visa sponsorship are not offered for this position.

$79,600.00 - $119,300.00
