Essential Job Duties
organization. The Service Coordinator ensures operation is adhering to service
standards for current and potential clients as well as referring veterinarians and
internal customers. The position will be responsible for creating, updating and
maintaining training manuals, will be a subject matter expert within the unit
and will take an active role in training, including for the hospital information
systems. Ability to multitask and manage multiple incoming phone lines is
crucial to this position
Duties include:
● Coordinates patient consultations, referrals, and appointments based
upon the medical status of the patient.
● Performs auditing of medical records and invoices for assigned service(s)
in order to identify any missed or incorrect charges as directed.
● Monitors estimate range and deposit information.Works with the team
to make sure deposits and estimates are updated as needed.
● Provides initial general financial estimates based on information
provided at the time of referral.
● Act as a service liaison for clients and referring veterinarians to ensure
service delivery, satisfaction and responds to concerns and complaints.
● Monitors email and voicemail communications for the assigned
service(s), logs descriptions of communications, and forwards
communications to necessary staff or clinical team members.
● Obtains medical records, images, and lab reports for upcoming
appointments at the direction of clinical staff and processes any lab
work requests from rDVMs.
● Ensures accuracy of schedule and appointment timing. Works with
service team members to make adjustments as needed.
● Provides relief coverage for client services representative and Internal
Medicine Clinical Liaison as needed.

Minimum Experience/Education
Other Required Qualifications
● Excellent internal and external communication skills, emotional intelligence, and professional demeanor.
● Basic knowledge of animal disease processes, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options.
● Ability to learn the hospital information system, internal website and applications, service
Preferred Qualifications
● Relevant veterinary Internal Medicine or veterinary specialty service
clinical experience.
● Advanced knowledge of veterinary medical concepts and specialty
service protocols.
● Accounting or invoicing knowledge and experience.
Required License or Certification
Valid NC Driver's License required
