Job Title: Staff Engineer, RFIC Design

Job Duties: Design advanced 5G RF Front End ICs in Front End Modules for flagship smartphones. Products will include multiple RF sub-circuits including RF low noise amplifiers, switches, power amplifiers, tunable filters, passive RF components and the analog/digital circuitry to control them. Direct the development of products during the entire product life cycle from product definition through product release to end-of-life. Develop LNAs in RF SOI for frontend platform products, responsible for all aspects of design schema capture, IC layout, simulation, package analysis, EVBs and Test plan creation and validation. Document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel design techniques and provide guidance on product usage. Lead a cross-functional team to achieve industry leading performance and meet development goals, create, track, and report on program technical milestones. Work with Application, Characterization, Product, Test and Manufacturing Engineers to help answer customer questions, assess field failures, support yield improvements.

Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; or related.

Work Experience Requirements: 12 months as Staff Engineer, RFIC Design; Senior RFIC Design Engineer.

Additional minimum requirements: work experience to include at least 1 year with each of the following:

1. RFIC and millimeter-wave IC design;
2. Design low noise amplifier, attenuator, phase shifter, and biasing circuitry in CMOS SOI process;
3. Electromagnetic design and modeling of inductors, baluns, transformers, transmission lines using EMX;
4. Spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer for small signal and large signal measurements.
