Technical Writer 1 needed for a 5 month W2 contract for a global bio technology company in San Diego, CA. (Remote)
Hourly Rate: $30.50
The role of Technical Writer 1 involves assisting in the review and evaluation of external standards utilized within the Quality Management System (QMS). These standards encompass various aspects such as Instrument risk mitigation (customer/non-patient safety concerns), packaging and engineering, user experience, and more. Effective communication across diverse domains and organizational levels is essential in this position to foster accountability and facilitate action.
What can you bring to this role:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficient in MS Office
- Minimum two years experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment would be beneficial (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 210, 21 CFR 211, etc.)
- Minimum two years experience with enterprise systems would be beneficial (e.g., Teamcenter, SAP, EtQ, etc.)
The day to day:
- Support external standards process with review of system generated reports.
- Work with multiple teams to review and assess changes to revised external standards.
- Some focus areas include Instrument risk mitigation (customer/non-patient safety issues), packaging and engineering, user experience, etc.
- Work efficiently and accurately while adhering to best practices and QMS requirements.
- Initiate and drive projects to improve customer experience and efficiency. Support similar initiatives driven by others on the team.
