The Fab Lab Director plays a critical role in advancing the college’s mission by providing leadership and direction for the Fab Lab Permian Basin at Odessa College. Through key partnerships with industry, K-12, and internal partners, the Fab Lab director is responsible for leveraging the fab lab to increase interest and participation in STEM education at Odessa College and in the Permian Basin.

Specific Position Duties
Provide vision, leadership, and operational oversight for the Fab Lab Permian Basin at Odessa College, including the stationary lab on campus and the mobile fab lab.
Serve as primary contact with Fab Lab funders and partners, including Chevron, Fab Foundation, Ector County ISD, and others.
Develop a revenue model and sustainability plan to institutionalize Fab Lab operations.
Lead the institutionalization of Fab Lab operations in partnership with key college areas, including Instruction, Continuing Education, and the Professional Learning Center.
Provide quarterly reports to the college’s administrative team, highlighting utilization, programming and operations, revenue, growth, and user satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in education, leadership, business, management, or related field.
Certification or degree in a technical field related to fab lab technologies (e.g. computer science, engineering, information technology, etc.) preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
