Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide administrative, instructional management and leadership for the Polysomnographic Technician program in a manner consistent with established College policies and procedures.  The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of the program, including the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the program.  This includes maintaining proper accreditations for the program, supervising full- and part-time faculty and staff, and providing a liaison to local healthcare affiliates.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical, medical, or related field required, Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist.  Must have a minimum of five (5) years of practice experience.  Two years college/professional level teaching or adult education experience required. Experience in curriculum design, program administration & planning, and instructional methodology preferred.
