IT Manager, Information Security

Job Description

IT MANAGER, INFORMATION SECURITY, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to build and cultivate a security-focused culture.  Will develop and implement security policies, risk assessment and management, and incident management; oversee and coordinate the MITFCU’s information technology security, data privacy, business continuity, and IT vendor management programs; stay abreast of emerging threats, hot topics, and best practices; and oversee compliance and auditing, risk and vendor management, and disaster recovery.  

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in related field; five years’ IT experience and at least four in IT security; at least one professional certification, e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC; professional knowledge of and experience with secure network architecture, systems and vendor risk assessment, systems monitoring and testing, vulnerability and threat assessment, risk and event remediation, identity and access management, business continuity and incident response oversight, testing, and governance; excellent management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, member and quality service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; discretion with highly confidential information; proficiency with PCs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and the internet; comfort providing virtual member service; attention to detail; accurate typing and mathematical skills; team orientation; and willingness and ability to keep current on changes in technology and electronic and alternative delivery methods.  Must be able to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously and achieve effective outcomes with minimal oversight; conduct effective presentations/training; communicate technical information to non-technical personnel; and build strong alliances with people at all levels across the organization.  PREFERRED:  two years’ experience working in a financial institution; experience using Sophos, Nexpose Security Console, patch management, Knowbe4, and WolfPAC; and experience with core banking and other ancillary financial systems.  Job #23782-10
