General Accountant 4 position requiring a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, experience in monthly and year-end general ledger close processes, and experience in performing monthly account reconciliations. The position involves a variety of accounting functions such as analyzing, monitoring, preparing and reconciling financial information to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
The incumbent independently prepares journal entries, maintains and/or reconciles general ledger accounts, utilizes and applies accounting practices and standards in the completion of work assignments, and prepares ad hoc analyses/financial reports/spreadsheets as requested. This will include accounting assignments that require review of data from a variety of factors and multiple sources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Nine (9) years of related accounting experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: accounting functions and theory regarding general ledger accounting, complex chart of accounts tools and automated general ledger utilization.
Large business accounting experience and/or Health care system accounting system experience.
Strong analytical skills, experience in application of analytical techniques and procedures used in accounting projects of moderate to semi-complex scope.
Experience with Oracle accounting software.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, such as the utilization of Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $82,500 - $151,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $39.51 - $72.56
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
