Position Overview

The Senior Director, Payer Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and guiding execution across the EXAS product portfolio with market access / payer customers. They will also lead strategy and execution across internal and external partnerships to accelerate payer growth, including but not limited to voice of customer analysis, value prop and messaging development for market access customer, and asset and campaign creation for customer engagement. This role will partner closely with the Market Access teams, Brand Marketing, Customer Experience and Field Sales leadership to develop, design and execute programs in channels that reach our market access customers, including but not limited to gap closure programs, non-POC programs and other digital solutions to drive testing and test adherence

Essential Duties

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serves as the marketing lead for the development of a marketing strategy for the Market access / payer customers.
  • Assess the impact of payer markets in our current healthcare environment and translate that knowledge into a commercial strategy aligned to our customers priorities.
  • Lead a team that develops messaging assets that would resonate with customers.
  • Responsible for oversight of the overall payer marketing plan to both create demand and optimize process two priority areas: Screening and Precision Oncology businesses.
  • Serves as the payer marketing lead for the execution of assets created to support the payer channel strategy, such as value proposition work, digital partnerships, optimization of non-POC opportunities and others.
  • Lead market research, insights, and analytics strategy for generating salient insight to inform payer marketing strategy and solution development.
  • Align resources to the right channels and stakeholders with the goal to drive utilization of our products.
  • Work across multiple stakeholder groups, including training and operations, to ensure launch and training of new marketing assets is planned and executed carefully.
  • Lead a team to include organizing and prioritizing work, writing/conducting performance reviews, training/developing, and managing work performance.

  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and has a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to develop a strategy through expert understanding of market and industry.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of working time.
  • Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 10% of a typical working day (note that office positions can accommodate sitting and standing needs, so this may not be relevant).
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 70% of a typical working day.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing or technology related field.
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience within sales, account management, or marketing specific to health systems payers.
  • 5+ years direct leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing talent.
  • Proficient computer skills including Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA or other master's degree.
  • Experience developing marketing resources for health system audience.
  • Knowledge of cancer diagnostics, molecular diagnostics or preventive health markets.
  • Relationships with Health Systems and HIT leaders within those preferred.
  • People leadership experience.

Salary Range:

$204,000.00 - $326,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
