POSITION TITLE: Summer Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:
An internship opportunity is available in our Accounts Receivable group at Scripps Research. The Intern will be responsible for executing both AR team-specific and cross-functional projects in support of key data integrity initiatives for the Institute. This is a temporary paid position for a maximum of 90 days and is subject to minimum wage and overtime laws. Students can work up to 40 hours a week.

1. Team and Cross-Functional Projects

Assist with pulling the invoice data from Infinity sub-system and attach it to Workday generated invoice.

2. Institute Analysis Support

Pull reports from multiple sub-systems and compare them to Workday data identifying variances due to manual errors when uploading/integration hiccups, etc. Provide general clerical support for the accounting team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

  • Demonstrate personal, professional and educational achievement.
  • Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects.
  • Positive attitude, fast learner, and good instincts

COMPENSATION:

The expected hiring range for this position is $16.85 to $19.85 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be enrolled in some form of higher education at the High School, College or Graduate School level, preferably interested in pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite, along with the ability to learn other office software applications and collaboration tools a plus.
