The Senior Financial Analyst isa key member of the Corporate Planning and Control Team within the reporting group. This position manages consolidation of all company financial reports, develops new reporting, and drives process improvements to support Sony's major business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting and budgeting activities: reporting, analysis, consolidation, charts, and financial submissions.

  • Liaison, directly supporting the business planning organization. Working close with multiple cross functional teams (accounting, service, logistics, business intelligence, business units, information system, HR, and the like)

  • Prepare financial consolidation and KPI reports for compensation, executive team and to headquarters.

  • Review journal entries/reconciliations and determine financial impact and/or underlying transactions; making necessary recommendations; and providing meaningful/insightful reports to support the business.

  • Work as a liaison, directly supporting the Business Planning Organization and work close with multiple cross functional teams (accounting, service, logistics, business intelligence, information system, HR, and the like)

  • Cross train and rotate team's key reporting and submission responsibilities to ensure business continuity.

  • Manage commissions line for Consumer and Professional groups, responsible for preparing budget, forecast and actuals ensuring business unit alignment.

  • Business/controller support for new incubation categories

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in related field is required

  • 3-5 years finance experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong accounting and reporting skills while learning new financial systems.

  • Ability to develop strong relationship across multiple supporting teams

  • The ability to identify weaknesses in processes and provide recommendations for process improvements

  • Must be able to work on multiple activities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAP, PowerQuery, and PowerBI is highly desired.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
