Essential Job Duties

A database/API designer for overhauling the back end of at least one of our current apps,
designing a centralized database for storing user interactions between apps, and creating
an API to interact with the new centralized databases.

Duties include:
  1. Convert existing locally hosted databases to being hosted on Azure.
  2. Develop new APIs using a modern framework (Node.js/Express, Python/Django,
    Python/Flask, serverless functions) to interact with various databases.
  3. Architect new schemas for connecting existing applications using a centralized
    database (Most likely using PostgreSQL).
  4. Present pros and cons of different solutions to our development team.
