About The Job

Dudek is looking to hire a Survey Crew Chief to join our Mapping and Surveying team in California. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience, and proficient California standards/code lists and survey requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise additional staff members assisting in survey assignments. Types of surveys performed: ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking and Transportation projects with IDOT/ISTHA/CDOT and others DOT's.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and note taking. Follow instructions/work orders from project managers.
• Organize field notes and execute field staking.

Minimum Requirements

• 5-10 years of survey crew chief experience including ALTA and Sectional Boundary Survey.
• Proficiency with Trimble and Leica GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Station (S6), Trimble (TSC3) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors.
• Construction layout, ability to read and comprehend Construction Plans.
• Proficient with IDOT Standards/ Code lists and survey requirements.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Micro Station and Geopak Experience is a plus.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong verbal/communication skills and computer skills.

Working Conditions:

• This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
• This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

Proposed Salary Range: $30.00-$50.00 hourly*

*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
